I am on my
surgery clerkship now. The hours are longer, but I don't always feel like I'm really doing much more than on other rotations. The procedures themselves are pretty interesting, but I could live without rounds and clinic. My attending for my general surgery month specializes in
weight loss surgery. Gotta say
bariatric surgery in Houston has really taken off, no idea if that's because of supply of surgeons or demand from patients or both. Anyway, here is a link to videos of
